Expo2000/Kraftwerk Limited Edition CD ROM

With this CD ROM one could navigate a virtual three-d model of the EXPO2000 fairground before its completion

Three tools float above the map of the fairground. The movie/panorama tool, the country tool and a magnifying glass.

The windows are moveable and resizeable depending on the screen resolution and the users needs.

After selecting a hall on the map a corresponding panorama is displayed and the location of the exhibiting country is shown on the globe.

Movies can be played back normally or controlled by dragging a dot on the animation path visible on the map.

Panorama and a bird view of the exiting dutch house.

The globe window also serves as a tool to select countries and find media linked to these countries.

This application was published on a limited edition of the Kraftwerk cd "Expo 2000". With this appliction one could navigate a virtual three-d model of the EXPO2000 fairground before its completion. Realistically rendered panoramas and movies are linked to information on the exhibiting countries and vice versa.

Remarkable is the fact that this application was concepted, designed, programmed and produced within 10 days (yes, the three-d-model of the fairground existed before). In the final stages Ralph, Stephan and me worked three days and nights non-stop without any sleep to accomplish this. This sucked!
